Age: Early thirties(?)
Gender: Male
Race: Yagyu (Believed to be from the Southern region)
Class: Mercenary/ShoukinKasegi
Title: Swordsman in Exile
Equipment:
- Gokurakuoujou - A strange jet-black sword that looks to be a mix between a knight's blade and a Tsurugi of sorts. The grip and handle
are similar to a regular sword, but the actual blade is katana-like, though thickened and more heavy-set in order to balance
with its irregular handle. It is rumored that a powerful mystical figurine used for repelling malicious spirits was melted
down and used during its production, thus allowing it to even send ghosts to their eternal rest, thus its name; Peaceful
Death.
- Wanderman's Requiem - A black, hard covered book which Tabigarasu carries with him everywhere. Its contents are unknown
but he has been known to reveal that it contains the journies and experiences of his ancestors. What its purpose
truly is and what use it may be to him is hard to say, however.
Proficiencies:
- Yochi-No-Ryu(Art of Prediction/Foresight): Skill which is often employed by those who are too physically weak in hand to hand
combat to overwhelm their opponents. When mastered, it can allow a practitioner to pinpoint the exact moment of
an opponent's weakness and take advantage of it nearly without fail, giving the user a window of opportunity in which
they may devastate their foe with a single attack, or turn their own strength against them. It was normally implemented
only in unarmed battle, but it is far deadlier in armed conditions if adapted properly. It goes by many different names.
- Genkaku technique(Hallucination technique): An ability where the practitioner can mentally delude an opponent with false
images, or phantoms, of his/herself by calmly focusing their inner chi energy and letting it flow out in controlled waves
in order to produce spiritual copies of minute power. If the users focus is broken, the images disappear. The same is true
if the ability is left in use for too long, as it mentally and spiritually can exhaust the one utilizing it easily if not
carefully controlled. However, paired with the Yochi-No-Ryu, it can be absolutely lethal to all but the most skilled
fighters.
- Yin/Yang Magic: By carefully observing and taking hold of the natural flow of Yin and Yang, a person skilled in this art
can heal mortal wounds, create spiritual force to attack his/her foes, or even control the elements to a certain degree.
However, this ability can be thrown out of balance by creatures who cause discord in the natural course of things, such
as evil spirits, who generate irregular amounts of dark Yang chi, or divine beings who create the opposite effect. In which
case only one force may be used at the time. Other conditions apply, but they are minute.
Synopsis: A quiet man whose face betrays no emotions to the outside world. His appearance is imposing, but he does not act in such a
way that people are weary of him for long. He wastes no words when he speaks, and may seem distant at first, but his is always
a voice of reason and logic, though kind enough when conditions allow. Living the life of a mercenary, it is often
misconstrued that he lives only for the money, but this is untrue. He is actually very choosy about the work he accepts and
only normally fights for a cause in which he believes the people will benefit most. Little is known of his actual history,
but it has been said he was born in the Southern region of the Yagyu nation, though the name of his hometown is lost and
he does not speak of it. Those who have seen him can attest to the way he drifts from place to place as if a phantom,
never staying in one place for too long, and almost always vanishing the moment he finishes a job, sometimes not even
taking his payment. For all his oddities, he is a true professional when it comes to his performance on the battlefield
having been said to hardly move at all while his opponents are felled one-by-one as they come to him and are struck down
not even seconds before they complete their very first swing. When the battle is over, it has been said that the formation
of Tabigarasu's felled opponents often comes out in the shape of a blossoming flower around him.
